Programme profile
This programme has been designed for students who wish to pursue vocational education as a chemist and for those who have a keen interest in engineering and natural sciences. The programme includes a broad spectrum of specialized courses in various areas of chemistry, chemical technologies, and process engineering, thereby providing a sound basis for students who intend to enroll in a Master’s degree program or pursue a profession at chemical and technology-oriented institutions and facilities.
Predominantly based on principles of research-based learning and research-led teaching, the curriculum includes extensive base-knowledge in the field of Technical Chemistry, addressing problem-solving skills in particular. Students work in small groups as part of a team, learning to understand and solve theoretical and practical problems and analyze and interpret scientific findings.
Entry Requirements
Three A-Levels (inc Chemistry and Maths) and three GCSEs
Six passes at Leaving Certificate , to inc Chemistry and Maths at H5
